T Mobile Phone SIM in Data Stick?

Hi All,
I got a T Mobile phone plan yesterday with 'unlimited' (3gb) internet. I want to unlock the phone and use another network. That will leave me with the T Mobile SIM.
Could I use that SIM in a T Mobile data stick (costs £8.99) to use on a laptop?
I already have a Vodafone data stick, there isn't any chance of using that is there?
